Adapters
An adapter provides some specialized capability to the
system, such as allowing remote access to a system, storage device
control, or network connectivity. Peripheral component interconnects
(PCIs) are a common form of adapter that allow external components
to be connected to the system.
Adapter Manufacturer |
The business entity that sells the adapter. |
Adapter Description |
An alphanumeric text field that can include the name,
model number, and purpose of the adapter. |
Adapter Bus Width |
Width of the information pathway that is made possible
between the system and the device controlled by the adapter. Adapter
bus width range is 16 to 64 bits for PCI and PCI-X cards, and x1,
x2, X4, X8 or X16 for PCI-E cards. |
Adapter Speed |
Transmission rate between the adapter and the device
it controls in megabits per second (Mbps). |
Installed SD Size |
The size of the Storage Device present on the iDRAC6
Enterprise card. | NOTE: You will be able to view this option on the screen only if the Storage
Device is present on the iDRAC6 Enterprise card. |
