External Chassis Power Supply Information
Systems can be designed with redundant power supplies to prevent system shutdown due to power supply failure. When extra power supplies are present in a system, being able to see that one or two power supplies have failed enables administrators to replace power supplies and restore redundancy before the last power supply failure causes the entire system to fail.

Number of Devices Required for Full Redundancy | Your system has some power supplies that are defined for full redundancy. All systems have n+1 power supplies, where n is the number of power supplies that are required for the system to work under fully loaded and stress conditions. If the number of power supplies that are required for Full redundancy is three, redundancy is lost when one or two power supplies are working. |
